Through painting and drawing, I explore the tension between individual and at the same time universal human existence—the complex relationship with the environment, border areas, ambivalences, blind spots, and fallibility.
With a lovingly inquisitive gaze, I find especially in contradictions and fragility, beauty and affirmation of life.
Those quiet moments in which we recognize ourselves in others.
Especially in today’s time of social division, we should realize that we are all human, human beings.
And we are capable of considering even what is not visible.
