As a child, I was captivated by the form of the Arabic letter and the diversity of Arabic calligraphy.
Later, I was fascinated by Arabic manuscripts and their varied scripts. This interest deepened further when I studied sculpture at Damascus University, eventually becoming a guiding principle upon which I based my graduation project, "Inspiration from Arabic Letters in Creating Contemporary Sculptures."
Arabic letters and calligraphy continue to be an integral part of my work.
I believe that art has a noble message, and its role is becoming increasingly prominent as beauty emerges as a spiritual and human value in the face of a hollow and unjust material world, confronting ignorance, backwardness, violence, and wars.
It should be a message of love and peace, a language of dialogue between different civilizations, so that peace, security, and prosperity may prevail for all the peoples of the earth.
