Caliban Ramirez

Painter, photographer, graphic artist, street artist
Tervuren, Belgium

CalibanMy work moves between figuration and abstraction, exploring the boundary between the visible and invisible.
I combine expressive lines with soft pastel tones to create dreamlike spaces inhabited by animal spirits, mythological symbols, and figures inspired by southern Chilean imagination.
These hybrid presences reflect the tension and harmony between human and animal, sacred and profane—a dialogue central to my art.

For me, art is transformation: each painting is a living process, a ritual of gesture and resonance, guided by rhythm and intuition.
My practice extends beyond painting to linocut, sound, video, and performance, forming a multidisciplinary language centered on metamorphosis and energy flow.
Since 2006, I have embraced participatory and collective projects, using recycled and natural materials to reflect an eco-poetic sensibility.
Rooted in Chilean mythologies and shaped by life in Belgium, my work bridges ancestral and contemporary worlds, inviting viewers to experience art as a space of transformation and connection.
