Painter
Seehausen, Germany

CalibanEdith Becker, born in 1961 in Babenhausen/Swabia.
For many years I have worked as an art therapist at the clinics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Murnau.
Alongside my profession, my artistic development took place mainly at the Free Art Academy Augsburg, where I attended regular study programs in painting and printing techniques for many years.
Since 2019, I have been a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists of Northern Swabia and Augsburg. In this forum, I participate in juried group exhibitions in Augsburg and the surrounding area. I am also an active member of the artists' association Murnau e.V. Tusculum.
Painting is a necessity for me. Beginning again and again, immersing, condensing, discarding, and exploring in the world of colors and lines.
Currently, I am trying to incorporate photographic structures of agricultural machinery into my painting and printmaking.
These work machines shaped my childhood and continue to inspire my artistic work.
Creative activity allows me to continually adopt new perspectives in my perception, which enriches me as a person.
